Breast reduction
Large, heavy and sagging breasts can cause pain, aches and fatigue in the neck and shoulder area. Of course, this can also contribute to difficulty finding clothes that fit and making it impossible to play sports or do other physical activities. It often also causes psychological distress due to avoiding certain situations and isolating yourself socially.

Some requirements must be met in order to be approved for a breast reduction surgery as being useful and this is decided by a doctor visit at the reception. The doctor visit takes place in Landskrona or in Malmö.
The operation takes about two hours and you’ll be anaesthetized during the procedure. The breasts are then reduced in size, the nipple is moved up and excess skin is removed.
Most patients stay one night at the clinic after breast reduction surgery, but this is not always necessary. A sturdy bra is used as a dressing for four weeks. After two weeks, you will come for a return visit and then any stitches will be removed. Normal sick leave time is three to four weeks and after three months a final check will be made at the reception. You choose whether your return visits will be in Landskrona or at our reception in Malmö.
